We need a miracle!
Here in Edgewater Florida, I look around at the local boat building industry and am dismayed at the effects of the economic crisis in which we find ourselves.
Some of the great brands are manufactured here - Boston Whaler, Edgewater Power Boats, Everglades Boats, and nearby is Sea Ray. They are so important to the economy of our area, and to the peaceful enjoyment of boaters everywhere, that we must hope that the Obama stimulus plan does work - people need to go back to work, not just at the boat plants, but across the country. People need to be able to get financing again, not just for boats but for college, home purhases when qualified, automobiles, and much more.
For the record, I am a conservative republican - but I also know that we only have one president at a time. So, I am urging all who read this to join in support of President Obama as he takes on some highly difficult and controversial issues.
For the boating industry to survive, we need to wish him well.
